More anime suggestions from me, in the form of little blurbs and whatnot. Today’s selections are Heroic Age, a sort of space opera show w/giant monsters duking it out, and Kimikiss pure rouge, a high school slice of life/romance following three childhood friends and their (mostly) separate love triangles.

First off, some brief administrative business and notes:

1. Putting my “serious” anime articles/reviews/etc. under “anime” tags, since a recent thread on Talking Time has pointed out the etymology of “Animu.” WTF Japan and other non-serious anime related stuff will still be filed under Animu though.

2. Starting next week I’m going to go through a trial revival of my old Anime Release column, which will focus on a few titles more in depth rather than quick hits on a bunch of titles. Maybe. Still of mixed feelings about it.

3. I’ll eventually start posting some of my fiction writings and other associated mental lint, but that may be a while because I’m lazy and this Wordpress theme doesn’t like extra lines between paragraphs. Not that it would be particularly annoying for fiction type stuff, but annoying to me.

Some days I like to think I’m a sane and normal guy. Most days I get up, think vaguely philosophical thoughts on what it would take to actually build a functional Macross Valkyrie and just give up.
Given that one of my hobbies is on the nerdiest side of nerdy, and that most of the output on both ends of the ocean for stated hobby tends to pander to perverts and teenagers, it’s not surprising that to find the good stuff you have to wade through an ocean of crap and near porn. Please note that whoever tells you that “moe” is an innocent concept made of bunnies and light is lying through their teeth, as the only “bunnies” in moe are hot women in bunny suits (probably not fursuits, but that shouldn’t be ruled out either).
The subject of today’s column is the anime Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de, which loosely translates to something like They Are My Masters. Important words in the title would be Aruji and Shitsuji, which are Master and Servant/Butler [usually tl’ed as butler] respectively, so we’re looking at a butler show, if the post title didn’t give that away already… Read more
…On a 160 GB external HD from Seagate no less. I could have gotten one twice the size for about the same price at the local Best Buy, but Seagate stuff is generally pretty reliable and the drive itself is a tad smaller than my DS. That’s nice, since a lot of the larger storage size PHD’s are like carrying bricks around, apparently.
Now I get to stare at it lovingly and hope I don’t need to restore my backed up data. Sigh.
…or early spring, if you will, although I don’t quite understand the temptation to call things released in January/February “Spring” releases.

I won’t regale you guys with the obligatory meme picture, but that’s more or less because I’m lazy, not kind.
This place will be my repository for my anime stuff and my fiction writings, since I get the feeling that Wordpress is far friendlier to text than DeviantArt is. No doubt I’ll have something a tad wittier to post in a bit, but you’ll have to excuse me as this is my second attempt at installing this and the arcane workings of MySQL have kinda fried my brain.
Just don’t break the furniture kids.
